USD Change in Non-farm Payrolls
Monthly change in employment excluding the farming sector. Non-farm payrolls is the most closely watched indicator in the Employment Situation, considered the most comprehensive measure of job creation in the US. Such a distinction makes the NFP figure highly significant, given the importance of labor to the US economy. Specifically, political pressures come into play, as the Fed is responsible for keeping employment in a healthy range and utilizes interest rate changes to do so. A surge in new Non-farm Payrolls suggests rising employment and potential inflation pressures, which the Fed often counters with rate increases. On the other hand, a consistent decline in Non-farm Employment suggests a slowing economy, which makes a decline in rates more likely.

7466 I suppose? I am out today. Just had 10 points on Dax short scalp. I don’t feel bullish at all. Glad I was using stops yesterday so I won and lost throughout the day but won in the end so I banked it. Stops really help in cases like these.

That's great news Jack........ I'm really really pleased you made some gains yday....keep it up and keep it small....remember £2 pp x10 = £20....... Do that three individual times during your session and that's £60 then walk away for the session and slowly try and build up your account.... By keeping max risk at £2 and only having one trade on it limits your risk........I should bloody listen to myself more........saying it and doing it are two very different things.....we are all learning....just remember , you never fail if you don't give up :0)...

Yes, I’m keeping it small £2. Couple of times I increased to £3 and even £5 but stops were too tight. They won actually. But yes, should stick to £2 now. It feels easier to trade small of course but still I don’t forget it’s still money. Hope you are using stops?

I’m out.. stopped on the break of 7470. Tbh I think it just keeps going down as there’s no sight of a reversal. But RSI is 27 now so can’t be too much longer until there’s a bounce of some sort. US looks like a train wreck though on the weekly so watch out below. Frustrating as it feels too low to sell but longs aren’t working

Hi Mcg......well I'm reflecting on last week.... i started off Monday and Tuesday great.....then i could make no headway at all and Friday although i got those first longs off at 507 508 i still got a kicking in the end.....
The thing is i put a lot of time and effort in as i always do but I'm starting to resent the hours I'm putting in .....there are other things i want to do .....
Its a toss up whether the bankers want to keep this up and buy it back or just let the accumulated wealth get destroyed while they are all short...........
The system is set up in a way that's its extremely hard to make gains once the central banks let it drop....The charts wont help i don't think......its just gambling now I'm afraid....you can short it and out of the blue it gets pumped,,,,,you can try for a recovery and try the long side and hit a big drop....tight stops goin to be too expensive I'm thinking...multiple stop outs
only thing left is scalping micro trends.......if you divide TIME/RESULTS i don't think the answer is goin to be worth the trouble....
now might be a good time to stop for a while I'm thinking until the situation plays out and we get a better understanding how the economy is going to be steered....

Hi there TCG.hope you had a good weekend....the thing is I actually think Mcg has got his act together....I don't know him personally but I think he has a lot that he can teach all of us....I don't know what level you are at but I know one thing and that is we all need as much help to learn how to be succesful as we possibly can get........not having a go at you but I think some of your disrespectful comments towards Icarus and Mcg are quite frankly quite immature and petty.....what you should be doin strictly in opinion is offer whatever experience and advice you can give and contribute to a small community of traders who are trying their hardest to be succesful.....we are all in the same boat......surely working together and encouraging each other is what it's all about?....hope you see some sense in what I'm saying.....I'm quite sure that if you where a succesful trader you would not be making some of the comments you have posted.....let's keep it nice and polite and respectful to each other hey and put our heads together and try and get a winning edge over this Market.......best of luck anyway ....

Apologies if any of my petty comments have annoyed you. Comments to MCG are made in jest as I do know the guy and he brought me to this site. In regards to Icarus, the hard truth was given. I can only assume he's out of the trade from 22k or somewhere in that region. As any successful trader learns, you have to know when you're wrong and let go of the trade and not hold on until your account can no longer sustain the pain. I was trying to point this out to him then, in maybe not the friendliest of ways. In regards to whether you think I'm successful or not, all I know is the 90% of unsuccessful traders are the ones who feel they need validation from a community. The sooner you can make decisions independently the sooner you will be on the winning side.

Some very wise words there TCG and I'm glad we got that cleared up apologies totally accepted but wanted to mention it that was all.....with regards to the forum personally I find a bit of interaction with other traders helps because I did have three other people I knew who started to learn how to trade but unfortunately they have all fallen by the wayside so when you are doing this on your own it does get quite a lonely endeavour ....also I have learnt quite a lot from people on here and it all helps to slowly eradicate your errors and learn by your mistakes....catch up later in the week and all the best....
